APA titled Neurological Physiotherapist
Professional Affiliations: Australian Physiotherapy Association
Brief Bio:
I have worked as a physiotherapist with neurological and complex rehabilitation clients for 30 years. I have undertaken extensive post graduate training across a range of areas in physiotherapy and holistic health care. In the neurological area I have completed a research Masters in the area of balance. Also developed teaching programs and worked as both a clinical educator and lecturer across 2 universities. In 2008, I became an APA titled Neurological physiotherapist. I do volunteer work as a paralympic classifier.
Specifically for polio, my father had polio so I grew up with rehabilitation and splints being part of my life. I try to remain current with the best practices and feel I can manage well or make recommendations for the primary and secondary effects people who have had polio.
